Responsibilities: • Assisting librarians in organizing and managing library resources. • Checking in and out books for library patrons. • Cataloging and classifying library resources. • Maintaining library inventory and conducting periodic audits for lost or damaged materials. • Helping library patrons locate and use resources, including books, electronic databases, and internet resources. • Assisting with library events and programs. • Keeping the library organized and clean. • Assisting with the acquisition of new materials. • Handling interlibrary loans.\n10. Assisting with the maintenance of library equipment and technology. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor’s degree in library science or related field preferred. • Previous experience working in a library is a plus. • Familiarity with library systems and databases. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently. • Ability to lift and carry books and other library materials. • Ability to use a computer for cataloging, research, and word processing. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of library operations and procedures. • Proficiency in using library software systems. • Excellent customer service skills. • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. • Proficiency in a second language could be beneficial. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Ability to work well under pressure. • A love of books and reading
